Configure Kitchen Alerts¶
You can configure kitchen-level alerts from the:
- Configure Alerts step of kitchen creation.
- Alerts tab of the Configure Kitchen page.
The system will send alerts to the recipients listed for the specified order run event types that occur within the kitchen.
Note
When both kitchen and recipe alerts are configured, the system sends emails to both recipient lists but does not send duplicate emails. The two configurations are ANDed; one does not override the other.
Configure a kitchen alert¶
- Navigate to a kitchen alerts form.
- Use the Configure Alerts step creating a new kitchen.
- Select the Alerts tab from the Configure Kitchen page.
- Click Add Recipient.
- In the Email field, select an address from the list of active users or enter an email address.
-
Check the boxes for the order run event types.
- Start: sends an alert at the start of an order run.
- Warning: sends an alert when the number of test warnings meets a threshold set for the variation. The limit must be set for this alert to be sent.
Note that node tests can be configured to take different actions on failures—stop, warning, or log.
Note
Warning counts reset on resumed order runs. An order run that stops on a test failure and has collected warnings from upstream nodes does not continue that count of warnings when the order run is resumed. Instead, the warning count resets to zero for the resumed run.
- Time Limit Exceeded: sends an alert if an order run meets a time threshold set for the variation. The limit must be set for this alert to be sent.
- Success: sends an alert when an order run completes without errors.
- Failure: sends an alert when an order run stops on an error.
- Add more recipients as needed.
- Click Update or Next (depends on the process from step 1).
