Kitchen Users¶
Kitchen users are people with different skill sets, using different tools, working together to deliver high-quality insights. Every kitchen is defined, in part, by the users that have access to do work in a kitchen.
Kitchen access provides users the ability to do a number of DataOps tasks, for example:
- Manage associated agents.
- Edit vault connections or secrets.
- Edit toolchain connection configurations.
- View or edit recipes (UI).
- Get local copies of recipes (command line).
- Run orders or alter existing orders.
- Edit order run alert configurations.
Without access, users cannot enter kitchens, edit the kitchen's user list, or merge/deploy changes to the kitchen. For more information, see Kitchen Security.
Kitchen roles¶
Kitchen roles is a feature that uses custom roles to define kitchen access on a per-user level.
With kitchen roles, only users with the appropriate permissions can manage a kitchen's user list. For more information, see Manage Kitchen Access.
