Create a Container Node

Warning

Note about running container nodes. Container nodes have a default timeout. That is, the initialization of a container node is set to timeout after 60 seconds if the container node is unable to start (for example, if the node cannot find resources).

How to

  1. From the Recipes page, select a recipe from the list, then select a variation.
  2. On the Variation page, click Add Node.
  3. In the Add Node dialog:

    1. Select Create new node.

      If you select Use existing node, you can choose from a list of nodes already created in the recipe.

    2. Enter a node name.

    3. Select Container.
    4. Optional. Add a data Source and data Sink. These can be configured later.
    5. Optional. Select or upload a custom icon for the node.

      This icon displays in the variation graph.

    6. Click Create.

Connect the node

If you have other nodes in your graph, you can connect the new container node as an ordered step in your recipe.

  1. Click Add Edge.
  2. Select a node in the graph as the source node for the edge.
  3. Select the new container node as the target node.
  4. Select Add notes for changelog , describe the changes, then click Update.
