Manage Container Icons

When you create or edit a container node in a recipe variation, rather than use the default Docker icon, you can select a custom icon to represent that node in the graph view.

The system records your icon setting for a container node as a property in the description.json file for the node. You can access this file from the File Editor or command line interface.

Any icons you upload for your container nodes are available to all users in your entire customer instance of Automation.

Select an icon during node creation

  1. Follow the steps in Create a Container Node to get started.
  2. Under Sink, select one of the following icon options:

    • Select from icon library. Then, click in the Icon field and select the icon to use.
    • Upload a new icon. Then, upload a new file and add an icon name.

      File size: 2 MB maximum.

File type: SVG, PNG, JPEG, or JPG.

Image aspect ratio: close to square

  3. Complete your node creation.

When you select Node Components as the Graph Mode, the icon represents your new container node in the graph.
