Rename Nodes¶
Rename nodes from the Recipes page and in the File Editor.
After a user renames a node, all current references to the node in graph objects and files are automatically updated by default. All historical references, for example, in past order runs, retain the original node name.
Rename a node from the Recipes page¶
On the Recipes page, select a recipe from the list, then:
- Select the Nodes tab.
- Locate the node in the list.
- Click Actions in that row.
- Select Rename.
- In the Rename Node dialog, enter the new name.
- Select Add notes for changelog , describe the changes, then click Rename.
Rename a node from the File Editor¶
On the Recipes page, select a recipe from the list, then:
- Click Recipe Actions
- Select View Files.
- Locate and select the node in the file list.
- With your cursor over the node name, right-click.
- Select Rename.
- In the Move/Rename Node dialog, enter the new name in the New Node field.

Leave the Rename node in variation graphs checked.
This allows the system to update all current references to the node.

Click Rename.
The files that change will display update icons.

Select Add notes for changelog , describe the changes, then click Update.
