Locate Variable Sets¶

The Variable Sets tab on the Recipes page shows the base variable set for the recipe, any override variable sets that have been configured, and what variations use each variable set.

Tour the Variable Sets tab¶

First, open a kitchen and select a recipe from the list. Then select the Variable Sets tab.

The top row of the table shows the Base Recipe Variables set defined in variables.json.
Each subsequent row in the table lists the override variable sets defined in variations.json and the variations that use them.

Select Actions to edit or copy the base variable set or to edit, rename, or delete an override variable set.

Click Add Variable Set to create an override set in the recipe. See Define Variation Override Variables for more information.

Find variable sets on other pages¶

Variation page > Variables tab: See the variable set hierarchy, add new sets or overrides, configure constraints on order overrides, or edit existing variables.
Configure Kitchen page > Overrides tab: Set variables at the kitchen level, typically for declaring vault paths of toolchain credentials.
Run Variation dialog > order overrides section: See active variables and set override values during order submission.
