Add Graphs

You can add new graphs to a recipe:

  • From the Recipe page Graphs tab.
  • When you add or edit a variation.
  • From the Variation page Graph tab.

When a new graph is added to a recipe, it can be used in any recipe variation.

Recipe page

On the Recipes page, select a recipe, then select the Graphs tab.

The Graphs tab shows all of the graphs in a recipe—and which variations are using each graph.

  1. Click Add Graph.
  2. Enter a graph name.
  3. Optional. Select seed nodes to include in the graph.

Note that seed nodes appear without edges in a new graph.

  4. Select Add notes for changelog , describe the changes, then click Add.

Add or edit a variation

  1. On the Recipes page, select a recipe, then select the Variations tab.
  2. Click Add Variation to open the Add Variation dialog or > Edit to open the Edit Variation dialog.
  3. In the Select Graph section, choose Create New.
  4. Assign and select the configuration you'd like for the graph, then finish the add or edit process. For details on all the steps, see Add and Edit Variations.

Once done, the new graph will be available for use within the recipe. Select the Graphs tab on the Recipes page to view the graph in the list.

Variation page

  1. From the Recipes page, select a recipe, then select the Variations tab.
  2. Click any variation name to open the Variation page.
  3. In the toolbar, select to the right of Graph: name_of_current_graph.
  4. Select Create new graph.
  5. Enter a name.
  6. Select to copy an existing graph or to specify seed nodes.
  7. Click Change.

This will change the current graph used by the variation. Best practice is to then select Add notes for changelog at the bottom of the page, describe the changes, and click Add to maintain a record of the change made to the variation.

Once done, the new graph will be available for use within the recipe. Select the Graphs tab on the Recipes page to view the graph in the list.
