12 April 2021 Release Notes

Version 1.1.211

Feature Highlights

DataKitchen Enforces Password Length on New Accounts and Resets

To meet more strict security requirements, DataKitchen is moving to a new password policy. The first step in the implementation is to enforce a minimum password length of 12 characters. [DEV-7624]

The new password length is required for new user accounts and any password resets for existing users.

Warning

New Password Requirement: 12-character minimum length on all new accounts and password resets.

Other Fixes & Enhancements

Variables Form Available for Container Node Editing: A user reported that the Runtime Variables form in the Node Editor was disabled when he switched between database source and file-based source configurations for a single container node. This scenario caused the node to lose any previously set variables when the variation was updated. This issue has been resolved, and the Runtime Variables form remains active for all data sources in a container node. [DEV-8045]

Kitchen Merge Changes Do Not Require a Refresh: Users found that when they opened a target kitchen following a merge, they had to refresh their browsers in order to view changes merged in from a source kitchen. This issue has been resolved, and target kitchens show merge changes immediately following the completion of any merge. [DEV-8007]

Variables from Dictionary Sources/Sinks Persist in Order Runs: The system was not copying runtime variables from nodes using dictionary data sources or data sinks. This problem prevented a failed order run from using an upstream runtime variable when that order run was resumed. This issue has been resolved with a change to how the platform persists data from dictionary sources and sinks so that runtime variables remain available through an entire order run. [DEV-8019]

Redesign of Create Kitchen Wizard: The steps of the Create Kitchen process have been updated in the webapp to adhere to newer DataKitchen style elements. The wizard steps now appear in a left-side menu. No functionality has been changed with this redesign. See Create Kitchens for more information. [DEV-7663]
