Secrets

Secrets are encrypted infrastructure and toolchain credentials that are stored remotely in vaults. Teams can use secrets as variables to build kitchens and recipes without needing to view the actual values.

The Secrets page in Automation contains global vault secrets and kitchen vault secrets.

Note

Secrets are not viewable. If a vault has a custom connection set to private, users cannot view, create, edit, or delete that vault's secrets, though the secret values can still be called by order runs in progress.

Access the Secrets page

In Automation, open a kitchen. Select Secrets from the green menu.

The Secrets page is separated into two sections: Global Secrets and Kitchen Secrets.
