Explore and Create Scorecards¶
Use the Score Explorer to explore quality score breakdowns across your data in real time. Add filters, switch categories, and preview scores from different perspectives — then save any combination as a scorecard for ongoing tracking on the Quality Dashboard.

Explore score breakdowns¶
The Score Explorer gives you a live preview of quality scores as you adjust filters and categories. Start by defining which data to include:
- Category filters — Select metadata categories (such as Table Group, Data Source, Business Domain, or Source System) and pick specific values. Selecting multiple values for the same field matches any of them; selecting values across different fields requires all to match.
- Column selector — Alternatively, click Select Columns to pick specific table groups, tables, or individual columns.
You can switch between these two filter modes at any time using the Switch to Column Selector or Switch to Category Filters link. Switching clears the current filters.
As you change filters, the preview updates immediately with the scorecard tile and a breakdown table. Use the category selector and score type toggle (Total vs. CDE) on the breakdown table to explore different perspectives of the data. Click any row to drill down into the individual hygiene issues and test failures behind a score.
Save a scorecard¶
Once you find a combination you want to track over time, configure what the scorecard tile will show on the Quality Dashboard:
- Total Score — Display the overall quality score.
- CDE Score — Display a separate score for columns flagged as Critical Data Elements.
- Category — Display score indicators for each value within a chosen category.
At least one display option and one filter must be set. Enter a name in Scorecard Name and click Add to Quality Dashboard.
Tip
The Data Configuration Setup and Add Table Group wizards can create a scorecard for a table group as part of their setup flow.
Edit a scorecard¶
To edit an existing scorecard, navigate to its Score Details page and click the (edit icon). The page opens as Edit Scorecard with the scorecard's current filters, display options, and name pre-populated. Make your changes and click Save Changes.
When you save changes to an existing scorecard, the score history is recalculated to reflect the updated filter criteria.
