Create Journeys¶
Journeys represent the collection of components and dependencies that deliver a data analytic asset. Create journeys to monitor your data processes from end to end.
Tip
You can also create a journey through the Components page. To learn how to select and add multiple components to a new journey at once, see Component Bulk Actions.
How to¶
- Use the drop-down in the menu to select a Project.
- Select Journeys from the menu.
- Click Add Journey.
- Enter a Name.
- Optional. Enter a Description.
- Optional. Set Instance Conditions.
- Click Add.
When the journey is created, you'll be redirected to the journey details Relationships tab where you can continue to build the journey from its components and dependencies. See Create Relationships for steps.
Instance conditions¶
An instance is the runtime execution of a journey. You can define when an instance happens based on specific start and/or end conditions. For complete details, see Configure Instance Conditions.
Note that any batch pipeline component you select for a Batch instance condition is automatically included in the new journey.
You can make changes to the instance conditions at any time from the journey Settings tab.
Tip
Payload data can be tracked as separate instances and must be configured from the Settings tab. For more details, see Configure Payload Instance Conditions.
