How-to update project information

Observability data is always associated with a specific project. Use the Project drop-down in the menu to switch to any project.

  1. Select Settings from the menu.
  2. Under Project Info, click Edit project settings.
  3. Update the project name and/or description.
  4. Click Save.

How-to configure agent alerts

Every integration agent sends a periodic heartbeat signal to Observability to indicate that it is functional. You can configure when agents should be considered offline and trigger alerts when this happens.

  1. Select Settings from the menu.
  2. Under Agent Alerts, click Edit agent alerts.
  3. Optional. Edit Check agent connectivity every __ seconds to change the interval at which Observability should check connectivity with integration agents for the project. The status of each agent is determined accordingly.

Online: a heartbeat signal was received within the last interval.

Unhealthy: a heartbeat signal was received more than 2 intervals ago.

Offline: a heartbeat signal was received more than 4 intervals ago.

  4. Optional. Define alerts to be triggered when an agent goes offline.

    1. Click Add Action.
    2. Select Send Email or Web Request.
    3. Complete the action's details.

      • Email: Enter one or more email addresses as the recipient. Separate multiple addresses with a comma.
      • Web request: Fill out the Method, URL, Payload, and Headers fields.

For more details on how to complete these fields, see Web Request.

  5. When done, click Save.
