Projects Enterprise

Projects are the spaces that separate and distinguish work. Depending on your organizational needs, projects might be set up by department, team, or goal.

Observability data is always associated with a specific project. Use the Project drop-down in the menu to switch to any project.

Note

As part of your Observability tenant, each company receives a unique URL to log into the Observability UI.

Any active user who logs into Observability using their company's unique UI URL has access to all the projects, components, journeys, and other entities associated with their company.

Projects page

For a list of all the projects in your Observability tenant, click your organization's name next to the hamburger icon and select Projects from the menu.

Details shown for each project include the name, who created the project and when, and a description if available.

From the Projects page:

  • Use the Search to find a specific project.
  • Click a tile to open a project.
  • Click + New Project to create a new project.

For complete details, see Create a Project.

When you open a project, use the menu and page URLs to access your data.

From the menu, select:

  • Overview for a summary of recent project activity.
  • Journeys to view and create data journeys for the project.
  • Instances, for a list of the instances recorded by Observability.
  • Components to see a list of the components.
  • Events, for a list of all the events received for the project.
  • Integrations, to configure a connection between your data estate tools and Observability project.
  • API Keys, for a list of current keys and to create new keys for a project.
  • Settings to update project details.

Click to hide or show the menu; Project to switch between projects; or click your organization's name to return to the Projects or Company Overview page.

URL

In Observability, each page is assigned a unique URL. For example:

https://example.datakitchen.io/projects/example-project-id-here/instances/1234/status would represent the Status tab for the instance with ID 1234.

You can share Observability URLs to show specific data with other users or to use as a quick reference.
