Delete a Project Enterprise

Delete projects when your work is done and maintain an organized Observability tenant.

Use caution when deleting projects. This action is permanent. It cannot be undone and you cannot retrieve the data.

How to

  1. Navigate to the project you want to delete.

    • Select its tile on the Projects page.
    • Use the drop-down in the menu and choose the project.

  2. Select Settings from the menu.

  3. Under Advanced, click Delete Project.
  4. Click Delete to delete the project. Or, click Cancel to close the dialog without deleting.

Outcomes

  • The project no longer appears on the Projects page.
  • All entities in the project (for example, components, journeys, events, instances) are removed from the system.
  • The API keys created for the project will no longer exist in the system.

When API keys are removed from the system, the agents that had been configured with one of those keys will continue to send events until the agents are decommissioned. Any events sent will receive a 401 error.
