23 February 2023 Release Notes¶
Alpha; User interface version 0.79
Feature highlights¶
Introducing instances!¶
An instance represents the execution of a journey. Since a journey consists of a collection of components, as defined by you, an instance helps you monitor what events are taking place as work occurs across your data estate.
Observing an instance can give you insights into questions like:
- What happened during the execution of this journey?
- What, if any, blockers are occurring during the process of delivering a data asset?
- How can our data estate be improved so that every journey is as efficient as it can be?
Let Observability help you understand your journeys, with instances.
Other fixes and enhancements¶
- We've updated the menu to give you better visibility on the events that Observability receives from your data estate.
Select Events to see a list of all the events for a given project. See View Events and Runs for more information.
- Looking for the Runs page? Find an overview of the runs for a project by selecting the Batch Runs tab on the Events page. Then, investigate the details for a particular run by clicking a Run Key.
- You can now define rules for the status of tasks that happen during a run or the status of the runs themselves. For more details, see Rule Patterns and Examples.
- We applied general fixes to reduce errors.
- We made various improvements to our user experience. Our help documentation has been updated to reflect these changes.
